Before getting started follow the Body Measurement Chart below to determine which size you are making.
Body Measurement Chart
Measure around the fullest part of your bust, hips and waist. The bust measurement dictates your size. If you fall between sizes then choose the larger of the two sizes. |
Allow extra yardage for matching or centering a design on the fabric. The yardage given is for a one-way design.
The Mini can be made using 44" wide light to mid-weight fabric OR 54" wide mid-weight Home Dec fabric. |
PLUS (for all Girl's sizes):
-1 small hook and eye closure
-1 coordinating invisible or dress zipper (we use Coats brand)
Please check the chart for the zipper length needed for the Mini style you are making
-1 spool of coordinating all-purpose thread (we use Coats Dual Duty XP®) |

TOOLS NEEDED: Scissors, Iron/Ironing board, Measuring tape/Ruler, Chalk pencil, Straight pins, Seam ripper, Hand sewing needle, Wax-free tracing paper from Prym-Dritz™, Tracing wheel, Invisible zipper foot to fit your sewing machine (J&P Coats Invisible zipper foot fits most machines) OR your regular zipper foot if using a dress zipper, Turning tool (such as a closed pair of scissors). |
